FORD TransiT ECU remapping

About remapping
The Ford Transit is the most represented commercial vehicle in our catalogue with 3,021 files, led by the 2.2 TDCi in all its designations, alongside the 2.0 TDCi and the 2.4 TDCi of the heavier variants. It is a working van, and the pattern of requested services reflects that.
Stage 1 makes up 2,610 files, followed by 585 EGR off, 378 DPF off and 226 speed limiter removals. Vans doing urban delivery work accumulate short trips at low load, which is exactly when exhaust systems clog. The ECUs are predominantly Siemens SID208, SID211 and SID807, alongside Ford DCU102 and DCU106.

Is remapping worthwhile on a working van?
Yes, mainly for low-end torque: it makes pulling away loaded easier and avoids having to work the engine hard at every junction. Many fleets also see a reduction in average consumption.
Why are there so many EGR and DPF files for the Transit?
Because of how these vans are used: short trips with frequent stops, conditions in which these systems clog sooner. Disabling them is not permitted on vehicles used on public roads, however.
Do you cover the 2.4 TDCi?
Yes, the heavier-duty 2.4 is present in the catalogue alongside the 2.0 and 2.2 units.
