FORD Excursion ECU remapping
10 files available
About remapping
The Ford Excursion accounts for 10 files in our catalogue, entirely the 7.3 Power Stroke diesel. It is a full-size SUV built on heavy-duty pickup underpinnings, one of the largest passenger vehicles ever mass-produced.
Stage 1 accounts for all 10 files — a completely clean profile with no maintenance work at all. The ECUs are the Ford EEC V and a 1C3FXC reference. On a vehicle of this weight, what matters is pull from low down.

What does the 7.3 Power Stroke gain?
Torque at low and mid revs, which on a vehicle of this weight translates into fewer downshifts on climbs and when towing.
Will I notice a difference when towing?
That is exactly where it shows: the extra mid-range torque reduces the need to change down on gradients with a trailer.
Is a remap worthwhile on a vehicle of this age?
It depends on engine condition. On a well-maintained 7.3 it responds well, but remapping does not compensate for wear.
