FIAT Stilo ECU remapping

About remapping
The Fiat Stilo accounts for 79 files in our catalogue, and the protagonist is the 1.9 JTD in all its designations, including the 115 hp variant. It is one of the most widespread diesels of its era, known for accepting a measured map well and for straightforward management.
Stage 1 accounts for 64 of the 79 files. As a model with some years behind it, most units carry earlier-generation ECUs: EDC15, EDC15C2, EDC15C7 and EDC16C8, plus the EDC16C39 and the occasional Magneti Marelli. We always start from the original file and the work is reversible.

Is it worth remapping a car with this many years on it?
It depends on the condition of the engine. If it is well maintained, the 1.9 JTD responds very well to a measured map. What remapping does not do is compensate for a tired engine or deferred servicing.
Do you work with the older EDC15 ECUs?
Yes, they are in fact the most frequent in the Stilo catalogue: EDC15, EDC15C2 and EDC15C7 appear regularly.
What gain can I expect?
On the 1.9 JTD the change shows mainly in mid-range pull. The specific figure depends on the variant and the condition of the unit, and we confirm it against the actual file.
