Volkswagen Transporter ECU remapping
2,609 files available
About remapping
The Volkswagen Transporter accounts for 2,609 files in our catalogue, led by the 2.0 TDI in its common-rail and DPF forms, alongside the twin-turbo 2.0 BiTDI and the older 2.5 TDI PD and 1.9 TDI PD units. It is a commercial vehicle that also serves as the basis for many camper conversions.
Stage 1 makes up 2,168 files, with 751 EGR off, 422 DPF off and 303 speed limiter removals. The high maintenance figures reflect the mix of urban delivery work and long-distance use these vehicles see. The ECUs range from the EDC15 and EDC16 of earlier units to the EDC17CP20 and Delphi DCM6.2 of later ones.

What is the 2.0 BiTDI?
It is the twin-turbo version of the 2.0 diesel, with more power from the factory and a more progressive delivery from low revs. It is covered in our catalogue.
Is a remap worthwhile on a camper conversion?
Very much so. Campers carry substantial permanent weight, and the extra mid-range torque makes a real difference on gradients and when fully loaded.
Why so many EGR and DPF files?
Because of the mixed usage: urban delivery work clogs these systems sooner. Disabling them is not permitted on vehicles used on public roads, however.
