About remapping

The Volkswagen Touran accounts for 1,186 files in our catalogue, with the 2.0 TDI and 1.6 TDI common-rail units leading, alongside the older 1.9 TDI PD and 2.0 TDI PD. It is a compact MPV designed to carry people and luggage, and that usage shapes the kind of map that suits it.

Stage 1 makes up 969 files, with 310 EGR off and 122 speed limiter removals. The ECU range covers EDC17C46, EDC17C74 and PCR2.1 on the common-rail diesels, plus EDC16, EDC16U31 and EDC16U34 on the pump-duse units.

Model highlights

  • 969 Stage 1 files across the TDI diesel range.
  • 310 EGR off files, a high proportion for this model.
  • Coverage of both common-rail and older pump-duse units.
  • ECUs including EDC17C46, EDC17C74, PCR2.1, EDC16U31 and EDC16U34.

Frequently asked questions

Is a remap worthwhile on an MPV?

Yes, especially if the car is regularly full. The extra mid-range torque is most noticeable with a full load or on gradients, where these vehicles feel most strained.

Why are there so many EGR files?

Short trips and low-load running clog the EGR sooner. Disabling it is not permitted on vehicles used on public roads, however.

Do you cover the older PD engines?

Yes, the 1.9 TDI PD and 2.0 TDI PD are present in the catalogue alongside the common-rail units.
