Volkswagen LT ECU remapping

18 files available

About remapping

The Volkswagen LT accounts for 18 files in our catalogue, dominated by the 2.5 TDI five-cylinder including the 95, 102 and 109 hp versions, with a 2.8 TDi also present. It is a large panel van, predecessor to the Crafter.

Stage 1 makes up 15 files — a very clean profile — with 2 EGR off and 2 speed limiter removals. The ECUs include EDC15, EDC15VM and MSA15 and MSA15.5 references.

Frequently asked questions

Is a remap worthwhile on a large van?

Yes, especially when running loaded. The extra mid-range torque avoids working the engine hard on gradients and at motorway speeds.

Is it the predecessor of the Crafter?

Yes, the Crafter replaced it in the range. Both are covered in our catalogue under their own entries.

Is a remap worthwhile on a van of this age?

It depends on engine condition. On a well-maintained 2.5 TDI it responds well, but remapping does not compensate for wear.
