About remapping
The Audi S3 accounts for 539 files in our catalogue, dominated by the 2.0 TFSI in its various outputs, with the earlier 1.8T of the first generation alongside it. It is the performance version of the A3, and the requested work reflects a distinctly enthusiast owner base.
Stage 1 makes up 350 files but Stage 2 reaches 162 — one of the highest proportions in our catalogue — plus 36 pop and bang and 9 Stage 3. The ECUs are MED9.1, MED9.1.5, SIMOS18, SIMOS12 and ME7.5, plus DQ250 transmission units on some cars.

Why so much Stage 2 work on the S3?
Because a large share of these cars arrive with intake, exhaust or intercooler modifications already fitted. Stage 2 assumes that hardware; if your car is standard, Stage 1 applies.
What is the DQ250?
It is the dual-clutch transmission ECU. Work on it adjusts shift points and torque limits, and often complements an engine map.
How much does the 2.0 TFSI take?
It is a turbocharged petrol with substantial headroom, which is why it has such a strong tuning tradition.
