They are known points on these engines, particularly in short-trip urban use. Disabling them is not permitted on public roads, however.
How does the 1.4 D-4D respond?
It gains mainly in mid-range flexibility. It is a modest engine, so the relative improvement is meaningful in everyday driving.
Is the work reversible?
