Subaru FORESTER ECU remapping
150 files available

About remapping
The Subaru Forester accounts for 150 files in our catalogue, with the 2.0 D boxer as the dominant engine: adding up its various designations it accounts for most of the work, ahead of the naturally aspirated 2.0i and the 2.5 turbo petrol. It is an engine with an unusual architecture that demands a good understanding of its management.
Stage 1 accounts for 95 files, but what sets the Forester apart is the weight of maintenance services: 46 EGR off files and 39 DPF off. The ECUs are Denso and Hitachi units with SH7058 and SH7059 processors, very different from the Bosch units common elsewhere in the European market.
Model highlights
- ›95 Stage 1 files on the 2.0 D boxer, the model's principal engine.
- ›46 EGR off and 39 DPF off files, a high proportion on this model.
- ›Coverage also of the naturally aspirated 2.0i and the 2.5 turbo petrol.
- ›Denso and Hitachi ECUs (SH7058, SH7059), specific to Subaru.

What is different about remapping a boxer diesel?
It is an uncommon architecture with its own Denso or Hitachi management rather than the usual Bosch units. It requires specific files: experience with other in-line four-cylinder diesels does not transfer.
Do you cover the petrol versions?
Yes, both the naturally aspirated 2.0i and the 2.5 turbo are present in the catalogue, although the bulk of work on the Forester is diesel.
Why are there so many EGR and DPF files for this model?
These systems give trouble fairly often on these engines. Even so, disabling them is not permitted on vehicles used on public roads; ask us so we can assess your case.
