Why so many DPF and EGR files?
They are known points on this engine, particularly in short-trip urban use. Disabling them is not permitted on public roads, however.
Is a remap worthwhile on a compact MPV?
Yes, especially if the car is regularly full. The extra mid-range torque is most noticeable with passengers on board.
What makes Mazda's electronics different?
They use Denso ECUs with their own reference system, quite unlike the Bosch or Siemens units standard on European cars.
