Can-Am Maverick ECU remapping

About remapping
The Can-Am Maverick is an SSV, a two-seat off-road vehicle for recreation and competition, and accounts for 41 files in our catalogue. The displacements covered run from 650 to 1000, including the 1000X variant and the one-litre turbocharged versions, all petrol.
The service split is highly revealing: 27 Stage 1 files and another 27 speed limiter removals, exactly equal. That is the typical pattern for this kind of vehicle, which leaves the factory with a very conservative cut for homologation reasons. The usual ECUs are the ME17.8.5 and the MED17.

Why is limiter removal so often requested on an SSV?
Because these vehicles leave the factory with a very conservative speed cut for homologation reasons. On the Maverick it accounts for exactly half the work we are asked for.
Which version has the widest margin?
The one-litre turbocharged versions, being forced-induction, offer the greatest scope. The naturally aspirated 650 and 800 gain more in response than in outright figures.
Can I use it on public roads after the modification?
It depends on your vehicle's homologation and the applicable regulations. Modifying parameters on a homologated vehicle can affect its conformity; ask us about your specific case.
