The SsangYong Rexton accounts for 222 files in our catalogue, with the 2.7 diesel as the clear protagonist: between its designations (2.7 D and 2.7 XDi) it makes up the great majority of the work. It is an off-roader where remapping is mostly requested to improve response under load and when towing.
Stage 1 accounts for 203 files, and EGR off is the second most requested service with 46. Rextons with the 2.7 XDi almost always run Delphi ECUs from the DCM family (DCM3.2, DCM6.2, DCM3.7 and DCM3.1), which we work on routinely. What does remapping deliver on a Rexton 2.7 XDi?
Mainly mid-range pull, which is what you appreciate in a heavy off-roader when towing or running loaded. It is not an engine built for big figures, but it gains considerable flexibility.
Why are so many EGR files requested for this model?
The EGR valve is a common source of carbon build-up on these engines. Even so, disabling the system is not permitted on vehicles used on public roads; ask us first so we can assess your case.
Which ECUs does the Rexton use?
