About remapping
The McLaren MP4-12C accounts for 20 files in our catalogue, entirely the 3.8 twin-turbo V8. It is the car that launched McLaren's modern road-car range, built around a carbon-fibre monocoque.
Stage 1 makes up 11 files and Stage 2 a further 9 — an almost even split, reflecting how many of these cars arrive with hardware already modified. The ECUs are ME17.8.3, ME17.8.32 and MED17.9.7.

How much does the 3.8 twin-turbo take?
It is a twin-turbocharged V8 with genuine headroom, even from a high factory output. Stage 1 works with standard hardware.
Why so much Stage 2 work?
These cars are often modified by their owners, typically with exhaust hardware, and Stage 2 is what takes advantage of it.
Is the work reversible?
Yes. We always keep the original ECU file, so the car can be returned to its factory configuration.
