About remapping
The Porsche 996 is the 911 generation of the late 1990s and early 2000s, and accounts for 57 files in our catalogue. The 3.6 Turbo leads, including the Turbo S, alongside the naturally aspirated 3.4 and 3.6 flat-sixes.
Stage 1 makes up 44 files, with 10 Stage 2 and one Stage 3. The turbocharged units offer clearly more headroom than the naturally aspirated ones. The ECUs include ME7.8, ME7.2 and M5.2.2 references.

How much does the 3.6 Turbo take?
Considerably more than the naturally aspirated versions, because forced induction gives boost pressure to work with. We still apply conservative margins.
Is a remap worthwhile on a naturally aspirated 996?
Gains are modest in figures and felt mainly in response and the upper rev range. It is worth being realistic about expectations.
Is the work reversible?
Yes. We always keep the original ECU file, which matters particularly on a car of this collectability.
